Maternity Photographer Flower Mound Texas
This gorgeous mama to be contacted me for a maternity photo session. She wanted these pictures in time for her baby shower. We chose a location I had shot at multiple times before. This is my most requested location and discovering a new spot for shooting the second half of her session was a fun surprise. Cibolo Nature Center is usually overrun by photographers. I can’t blame them, I’m one of them! It really is one of the most amazing spots around San Antonio, TX. If you want to avoid the crowd, try going on a weekday or even early morning for sunrise instead of sunset.
Her makeup, hair and outfits were just spot on and she looked so gorgeous! I’m so honored to have photographed this special time in this couples lives 🙂 They were naturals. You’d think this mom was a model!
My favorite time of day to start shooting outdoors is an hour before sunset. That’s when the outside light is the softest and my clients don’t get any unflattering harsh shadows across their faces. Unless it’s a cloudy day, I always tend to shoot during golden hour.

2021 update – I have recently moved to Frisco in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Currently, I’m booking families and lifestyle sessions and will be booking studio newborns in October of 2021! Looking forward to this new chapter of Photos by Shilan. As much as it’s nerve wracking, it is exciting.
