I shot James’ newborn session a few weeks before this session took place. It never ceases to surprise me just how fast babies grow.

I absolutely love it when previous newborn clients contact me for additional sessions. Not only do I get to see those precious babies again, but I get to document a family’s journey – from brand new parents of a newborn to confident parents of babies and older kids.

At the days of this session it rained, pretty much all day. It was suppose to be cloudy and dark too. But because my clients couldn’t reschedule we had to keep this session. I was so relieved that it stopped raining just as we started shooting. And even though it was dark and cloudy we got some really sweet shots. I actually quite like the dark and moody feel of these final images.

I can’t wait to photograph this adorable family again and see just how much more baby James changes as he grows.
