The moment I set foot into Kelly and Justin’s home, I knew this session would be something special.

This was somewhat of a last minute session and I’m so happy I was contacted by them to do it.

Having been shooting newborn sessions exclusively out of my own home for 2.5 years now and those have all been studio (posed) shoots.

I was a little nervous to be doing a lifestyle session after such a long hiatus from it, but it all turned out beyond my expectations and I can’t wait to shoot more sessions like this this year.

I have to admit, my favorites of these images are the ones with their adorable little dog. How cute are those! I also love the connection between baby Ava and her parents.

I also wanted to take this time to announce that I’ll be going on maternity leave, starting March! I’ll be off for at least a month or until I feel like we have established somewhat of a routine with our new baby.
