I HAD A BABY!!

My baby, number 4, is 4 weeks old today.

These past 4 weeks have just flown by. It really feels like he was just born yesterday and at the same it feels like he’s always been here. We can’t picture our family without this adorable little guy, our world is complete! Our hearts are so full and we can’t wait to see him grow up with his older siblings.

Naturally, being a newborn photographer and all, I went a little crazy with my camera and took a million pictures of my little guy. And I don’t see myself stopping any time soon LOL!

These pictures were taken in the hospital on the day he was born and I’m so excited to offer these type of sessions to my clients.

I know a lot of clients who second guess buying the fresh 48 session because they’ve gotten the in-studio newborn session already, so I just wanted to clarify why getting BOTH is so important.

Why have pictures taken in the hospital?

When I came home with my little one, and finally got some time to transfer all the pictures I took in the hospital, baby was already 4 days old and he looked so different from how he looked on day 1 and 2. When he was born, his face was swollen and he had red “bruising” on his face (from coming into this world so fast).

He was so sleepy and not even a tiny bit alert. And I realized how much I needed these pictures! I wanted to be able to look back at them and remember all these little things about him I just knew I’d totally forget otherwise.

Lets face it, mom isn’t really all that alert either the first 1-2 days. There’s no way I’d really remember how exactly he looked like if I didn’t have these pictures of him. And the pictures I took on my phone don’t come anywhere near the quality and light in these.
