Sibling Pictures | Frisco Premier Newborn Photographer

Let’s talk sibling pictures. Now this can go a lot of different ways, depending on a lot of different things.
We have to take into consideration the siblings age, behavior, wether they’ve had a nap or not and so on.

I like to do parent and sibling shots before I move on to newborn only poses. This way dad can take the older kids to the park or even home if my clients live close by. If sibling isn’t having it and isn’t cooperating I have dad take them for a ride in the car and come back at the end of the session to have an other go at it.

As I’ve shared in previous blog posts, I had my 4th baby a couple of weeks ago. He’s now 9 weeks old and is the sweetest baby! Before his newborn sessions, I was the most excited for sibling pictures. I had it all planned in my head, exactly how I wanted his pictures with his siblings to be. It didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted but I know I’ll still cherish these pictures more than anything!

People always assume I have the most amazing pictures of my kids, being a photographer and all. What they don’t know is that my kids suffer from something called “photographer’s child syndrome”. As soon as I whip my camera out and ask oh so nicely for “JUST ONE PIC!” they either run the other way, make faces or try to make it as difficult for me as they can.

My 4 year old refused to wear the white shirt I had picked out for the boys. My 6 year old kept making faces and my 8 year old was looking everywhere BUT the camera. After much bribing and begging them to cooperate I gave up. Luckily, I got a few shots in between their silly antics that I loved. And frankly, I crack up every time I look back at all those goofy shots I got of them. I’ll cherish them all so much! Because those are the shots that show their personality.

Here are just a few of my favorite shots from my baby’s session with his siblings.

I’m looking forward to being your Frisco Premier Newborn Photographer. Shoot me a message today!
